In Polish: Scoring BIK
This is the word you will see in bank documents.
Definition
The BIK score is a points rating calculated by the Credit Information Bureau (BIK) from your credit history. It shows the statistical probability that you will repay another debt on time: the higher the score, the better. Since 1 July 2026 BIK has used a new model with scores on a scale of 1–100.
What it means for you
The score is only one input into the bank's assessment, which uses its own risk model. There is no public points threshold above which banks grant mortgages. A low score is, however, a signal of what to fix before applying: delays, use of limits or the number of new loans.

Frequently asked questions
What BIK score do I need for a mortgage?
There is no official threshold. The BIK score on a scale of 1–100 is only one element of the assessment; the bank decides using its own model, your income and repayment history.
Does a credit enquiry lower my BIK score?
In the model used since 1 July 2026, credit enquiries are not part of the score. The bank still sees them in the report and may take them into account in its own assessment.
Where can I check my BIK score?
In the paid BIK Report after creating an account at bik.pl. The free copy of your data, available once every 6 months, does not include the score.
