In Polish: Agent kredytu hipotecznego
This is the word you will see in bank documents.
Definition
A mortgage credit agent (agent kredytu hipotecznego) is a business that carries out mortgage intermediation in the name and on behalf of only one intermediary, under an agency agreement. It must be entered in the KNF register, with a number starting with RHA. The intermediary is fully and unconditionally liable for the agent's actions towards customers.
What it means for you
An agent compares the offers of banks its intermediary works with, helps with documents and handles the application. It is paid by the intermediary, who is paid by the bank, so you usually do not pay for the service. Check the entries of both the agent and the intermediary it represents, because the intermediary is liable for any damage.
